How This Works

Hopefully, you've reached this page because you're thinking of posting to the DAL Newsletter/Blog. This forum is meant to be as democratic as possible, and we welcome opinions of most all political stripes. That said, we will insist on a basic respect for the opinions of others, as well as a generally acceptable sense of decorum.

If you wish to comment on a post: Simply click the "comments" button at the bottom of the post. Your comment will be emailed to us and, if not found offensive or inappropriate, will appear on the site soon after. We must do it this way to avoid comment spam generated by professional spammers. And because we cannot edit comments once published.

If you wish to post an opinion or alert to some item of interest: To post to this newsletter/blog you must be invited. This is easy. Simply contact us and we will invite you (you can use the "comments" button at the end of this post). Once invited, you must accept and register (you get only one chance per invitation to do this). Once registered, you may post freely. Posts that offend will be removed.

Posting is easy: Go to the newsletter and click on the "Blogger" button upper left corner. If this is your first time, you will probably come to a Blogger information page that prompts you (upper right corner) to sign in. If you don't want to see this page every time you want to post then click "remember me". After signing in, you should be at the "Dashboard". Find DAL Newsletter on the list and click the green cross to the right (under the column entitled "New Post"). Make sure to put a title in the box above and begin typing your message in the main box. If you wish to link to another page or site in your post, type the name of the page or site (you don't need to type the http://), highlight it, then click on the link button (looks like a chain link) on the toolbar above. You will be prompted for the address.

Please do not change the standard font or size of type. You may add a picture if you wish and you can find out how under "help". You may also use the other buttons above (bold, italic, etc.) but watch that it does not leave your post looking too cluttered. There is also a spell check button, and you can preview your post before publishing. And relax, you can edit (or remove) your post if you don't like it

Best of luck. If you have questions or comments, please email us.

Bill
